Questions, answered.
No. The day is open to everyone: parents, grandparents, friends, neighbours and anyone who wants to back Edithvale Primary School. Grab a partner and enter a team.
No. Two-player Ambrose is built for mixed abilities. You pick the better shot each time, so there is always a way to contribute. Enthusiasm counts more than handicap.
You need a partner to enter a team, so ask a mate from the school gate or a parent from your child's class. If you are stuck, get in touch and we will try to pair you up.
No. Golf Break rewords every challenge for your handicap and scales the points, so a beginner and a low marker are in the same race. Curses lean on the good golfers, a failed card scores 0 and nobody ever loses points. In Ambrose you also play the better of your two shots every time.
Every team begins on a different hole at the same time, so everyone tees off together and finishes around the same time. No waiting for a tee time.
Wave 1 tees off at 3:00 pm and Wave 2 at 4:30 pm. Pick whichever suits your work and family. Each start has two teams on every hole, so once the holes fill up, that start is closed.
We draw it at random the moment you register, and show it on the thank-you screen. Every team and its hole is on The Draw page, so you can see who you are sharing a tee with.
$60 per player, so $120 per team. Pay by bank transfer using your team name as the reference.
The top three teams each take home a one-of-a-kind Edithvale cap: gold, silver or bronze crest, the year on the back and your names stitched inside. Only three are ever made each year, and you wear it for the whole year. There are also prizes for best-dressed, best team name and a few secret categories.
Your spot in the Ambrose, the on-course challenges, the barbecue and awards, and free access for life to the Golf Break platform and app.
Golf Break sets random challenges for each hole and keeps the score. Every registered player gets free access for life to the platform and the app, so you can use it with your own mates long after the day.
